Bio
Hello! I’m Maeve Spears, a designer from Chicago, IL. Building on a lifelong love of art, I am pursing my M.A. at DePaul University’s School of Design (expected completion May 2027). I also hold a Graphic Design Certificate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work is clean and colorful, but years in marketing have taught me how to adapt to any brand's style.
Physically drawing, painting and collaging heavily influence my digital practice. On my laptop, I'm proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), Procreate, and Figma.
Prior to pursuing design, I worked in public relations for nearly a decade. I built a career using written and visual communication to market major brands like ALDI, Quaker Oats and JPMorgan Chase. My background provides a unique, deep understanding of brand identity and graphic design within the corporate landscape. I hold a degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Michigan.
